On November 10, 2012, we had our installation service for Pastor Luis and Annette Nieves at our first church in Lake Villa, IL. From then on, the church “Iglesia Cristiana Buscando Una Unción” was born. During our first 3 years in Lake Villa, IL, we had a small beginning where the Lord, in His abundant mercy, allowed us to grow and grow. But that growth didn’t come without trials and tribulations; during those first three years, we faced situations and trials, but in it all, we were able to say that God was good, and He still is!

On January 7, 2015, the Lord called us to a new destination, and it was in our hometown of Waukegan, IL. We have been renting at our current location at the Wesley Free Methodist Church, which is located at 3601 N. Lewis Ave. Waukegan, IL 60087. At our new location, God has moved mountains, and we have continued to see the growth of our church and the love that has bloomed among all the members of the church. The trials and tribulations have continued, but even amid trouble, the river of Grace abounds even more.

On November 13, 2022, we celebrated 10 years of Victory, where God has continually shown His glory with our church and continues in this faith, knowing that God is still moving mountains. As we continue in this ministry which the Lord has entrusted to us as faithful stewards, we continue in the commission that was given to us by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We hold on to this hope, which will never fade, that God has been faithful and that He will continue to do so until He returns for his church. That is why, in and through it all, we will continue declaring the word of the Lord, and we proudly declare, “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”

El 10 de noviembre de 2012 tuvimos nuestro servicio de instalación para el pastor Luis y Annette Nieves en nuestra primera iglesia en Lake Villa, IL. A partir de entonces nació la iglesia “Iglesia Cristiana Buscando Una Unción”. Durante nuestros primeros 3 años en Lake Villa, IL, tuvimos un pequeño comienzo donde el Señor, en Su abundante misericordia, nos permitió crecer y crecer. Pero ese crecimiento no se produjo sin pruebas y tribulaciones; Durante esos primeros tres años, enfrentamos situaciones y pruebas, pero en todo pudimos decir que Dios era bueno, ¡y todavía lo es!

El 7 de enero de 2015, el Señor nos llamó a un nuevo destino, y fue en nuestra ciudad natal de Waukegan, Illinois. Hemos estado alquilando en nuestra ubicación actual en la Iglesia Metodista Libre Wesley, que está ubicada en 3601 N. Lewis Ave. Waukegan, IL 60087. En nuestra nueva ubicación, Dios ha movido montañas y hemos seguido viendo el crecimiento de nuestra iglesia y el amor que ha florecido entre todos los miembros de la iglesia. Las pruebas y tribulaciones han continuado, pero incluso en medio de los problemas, el río de Gracia abunda aún más. 

El 13 de noviembre de 2022 celebramos 10 años de Victoria, donde Dios continuamente ha mostrado Su gloria con nuestra iglesia y continúa en esta fe, sabiendo que Dios sigue moviendo montañas. Al continuar en este ministerio que el Señor nos ha confiado como fieles mayordomos, continuamos en la comisión que nos fue dada por el Señor Jesús en Mateo 28:19-20: “Por tanto, id y haced discípulos a todas las naciones, bautizando ellos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, 20 y enseñándoles a obedecer todo lo que os he mandado. Y ciertamente yo estaré con vosotros siempre, hasta el fin de los tiempos”. Nos aferramos a esta esperanza, que nunca se desvanecerá, de que Dios ha sido fiel y que lo seguirá siendo hasta que regrese por su iglesia. Por eso, en todo esto y a través de todo, seguiremos declarando la palabra del Señor y declaramos con orgullo: “¡Amén! ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!
